Generally speaking, the typhoon-free SOCCSKSARGEN Region of Southern Mindanao (Sarangani Province South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat) is a strategic area to produce off-season fruits and vegetables and even some mid ranged crops (as opposed to Luzon which is visited by +10 typhoons a year) with this climatic advantage positioning the region of one of the more favorable to develop the commercialization of some crops.
